Don't just take our word for it
The greatest part of our work is when we see the effect it has on our customers.
And it’s great when we get feedback that makes us proud to be able to help them begin a bright new chapter in their lives.
Sammy and Luke's story
Sammy and Luke were living locally and were keen to take their next step up the ladder. After taking part in a nearby 5k charity run, the pair noticed Daedalus Village on their way home and returned the next day to visit the development. They instantly fell in love with one of the homes here and the next day, they came back to complete their reservation. As they had a property to sell, they took advantage of the developer’s Assisted Move scheme and within two days, their existing property had been valued and was on the market. The couple were also able to take advantage of the Government backed Help to Buy scheme, which enabled them to secure their ideal home here. Sammy and Luke moved into their new home at Daedalus Village before Christmas and are now enjoying life as part of the new community here.
Talking of their experience, Sammy Swainston said: “We love it here. The house is beautiful and for us, being so close to the sea is amazing. From our house we can see the beach, the Captains Gardens and the airfield, we have such good views. To be able to take the dog for a walk along the beach each day, we just feel so lucky.”
“A major draw for us with the house was also the fact that we could just move straight in and we had no work to do. Having had a bit of a project with our previous home, we knew we didn’t want to do that again and when we visited the development, we just loved it here instantly. We felt really supported throughout our purchase and by using the Assisted Move scheme, the whole process of getting our existing home valued and on the market was made so much easier.”
Talking of their experience with the sales team, Sammy added: “The sales team were great and they went above and beyond to help us secure the particular property that we had fallen in love with here. They have been honest and transparent throughout the whole process and are always happy to help. If it wasn’t for Anna in the sales office and all her help and support, I don’t think we would be living here today.”
For one of Daedalus Village’s new residents it was the lure of the sea that saw her relocating all the way from Essex to her new home in Lee-on-the-Solent. After visiting a friend, who had moved to the area a few years beforehand, Sharon had seen signage for the new homes at Daedalus Village and decided to pay the development a visit. Having previously purchased a new build home, Sharon was confident purchasing off-plan and she was attracted to the high specification and hassle free living, on offer. Impressed by what she saw at Daedalus, Sharon decided that this is where she would like to live. She quickly put her existing home on the market and secured a purchaser within just five days! Sharon and her two dogs moved into her new home at Daedalus Village before Christmas and she says she already feels part of the community here.
Sharon said: “I couldn’t be happier with my decision to move here. Relocating from Essex was a big decision for me but I am confident it was the right one. I have only been here a few months and I honestly feel like | have been living here for years. The Daedalus team, who were superb throughout the whole purchasing process, hosted a welcome event for those of us who moved in before Christmas, which was a great way to get to know your neighbours and everyone just really hit it off. There is such a nice community here already. Everyone looks out for each other and is always happy to help.”
Sharon added: “It is the location, which really sets the homes here apart. To be able to walk the dogs straight down to the beach every day is incredible. Having previously owned a new build property I knew that finish and the specification would be good but I have been so impressed — the house offers everything | could have wanted and more. The kitchen is beautiful, the layout works perfectly and there is nothing I need to do.
“It may sound a little cliché, but I am honestly living the dream! I couldn’t recommend the development enough.”
While Sharon has relocated to Lee-on-the-Solent, she has been able to stay with her current employer. She now works from home part of the week and then commutes into London, for the remainder.
Sharon added: “I actually feel like the move has given me a greater work/life balance. Rather than a stressful drive into London every day, I now split my week so that I can work several days from home, which is fantastic, and then I get the train into London for the remainder of the week. It takes me no time at all to get to Fareham train station and then | have a stress free train journey, straight into London Waterloo. I can work during the journey too, so I feel like I am making the most of my time.”
Talking of the sales team, Sharon added: I can’t speak highly enough of the sales team, they have been brilliant throughout. Nothing has ever been too much trouble. They have always been courteous, responsive and a pleasure to deal with.”
Georgia and Adam's story
Local first time buyer Georgia and her partner Adam are delighted with their new home at Daedalus Village, which they were able to move into, just in time for Christmas.
Georgia Faithfull said: “We are so happy we found this house. We had been looking for somewhere to buy for a while but nothing had caught our eye. When we heard about the homes at Daedalus Village we went along to take a look and we knew straight away that this is where we wanted to live. It’s been fantastic to be able to just move straight in and there is nothing we need to do. The finish here is really good — from the new kitchen to all the internal doors. The location here also really adds to the appeal. To be able to walk down to the beach in five minutes makes this a very special place to live. We are so happy with our new home here.”
Talking of the sales team, Georgia added: “The sales team have been amazing. They were always quick to come back to us and to answer any questions we had — we couldn’t fault them.”
